We harness Solar Power in our art projects - supporting Eco and Green Energy awareness

Underserved youth in rural environments revealed the need for the power, potential and Eco value of Solar energy to be included in our STEEM projects. While many had access to WIFI they had no access to replacement batteries. This module can support:

  • Youth who add solar to coding a STEEM collective design with shared storytelling.

  • Informal Workers or Street Artists use solar incorporated into an entrepreneurial initiative.

  • Teachers are trained to share solar STEEM and coding skills with pupils and students.

A Mood Lamp blends African heritage with contemporary storytelling

Exploring our shared stories: We begin with a design thinking workout, exploring our stories from the past, present and even a possible future. We sketch out rough ideas of the forms for comment and development.

The past and present - with music:

The final form blends Traditional African Story depicting a female life story, while giving a nod to today’s popular ‘Disney Princess’ - or perhaps a Wicked Queen?
