Apply Heat to Vinyl
Instructions for using:
Easy Press Household Iron
Craft Express Heat Press
USING THE EASY PRESS OR HOUSEHOLD IRON
Preheat your Easy Press to 350° for 30 seconds. (Preheat your household iron to the highest setting possible, making sure the steam setting is turned off.)
Position your design on the t-shirt with the clear carrier sheet facing up, (sticky side down) and secure using the Heat Adhesive Tape.
Place on a hard, stable surface which can withstand pressure and movement. Do not use your ironing board as it can become unstable.
Place a Teflon Sheet on top of your t-shirt to contain heat and also protect your iron. (Or use butcher’s paper, if you have none available.)
Begin pressing by applying mild pressure for the Easy Press or very heavy pressure if using your household iron. Be sure to overlap sections as you press for 30 seconds if using the Easy Press or 60 seconds if using your household iron.
Use a cloth to wipe over the carrier sheet with mild pressure. I do this to ensure that the vinyl will not pull up when removing the clear carrier sheet.
Carefully remove the clear carrier sheet by pulling back, not directly upwards.
Place the Teflon Sheet on top of the t-shirt again, and repress using the same temperature, pressure, and time from above.
Turn your t-shirt inside out, place the Teflon Sheet on top of the t-shirt again and repress using the same temperature, pressure, and time from above, one last time.
